Slinging & Rigging Safety Course

The Slinging & Rigging Safety course will teach you proper rigging practices, including why safe rigging is important, the concept of a safe working load, the safety factor, and what is and is not acceptable as rigging material. You will become familiar with proper safety related to wire rope and wire rope slings, various types of fiber rope, and chains. You will learn when you can use synthetic slings, when a sling is damaged and must be removed, as well as good and poor rigging practices.
